Campanula rotundifolia – harebells
These delicate, bell-shaped purple flowers can be found on all your favorite hikes. This widely distributed species is native to most of North America, Europe and Asia. Its unique heart-shaped leaves transform into linear leaves once the flower stalk bolts. It does well in full sun but can also tolerate some shade and extra water, especially if the soils are well-drained. (perennial / plant fall, winter, or spring) . |
